Video developer Baserigger writes:  I truly believe that the "Hilary Scott Band" is the greatest southern blues rock band around.  From the originals to the covers, all of their songs are fantastic, no throw away songs on any c.d.  To make it even better, Hilary Scott is a genuinely nice and pleasant lady.  I LOVE the Hilary Scott Band :-)

"WOW! WOW! If this doesn't make it for Hilary Scott, I will have lost faith in the music world. I have been playing

Road To Hope constantly all week...can't get Hallelujah out of my head...so passionate and powerful...every song on this CD is terrific. Daydreamer, Such a Good Friend, Road to Hope, and my personal favorite (Dylan should be ecstatic), To Make You Feel My Love......The pictures on the Web site can't compare to the photography on the CD insert....really nice. The instrumentation is so well done...."                    A Fan from Maine

"It takes a real artist with amazing interpretational skills to imagine the deeper possibilities behind...Like a Virgin...This version completely eclipses the original in my opinion...Somehow, within one listen you accomplished the impossible-you erased the original from my musical consciousness...And, such a lovely, lovely voice..."  Fan from MySpace

"I remember the first time I saw and heard Hilary. It was on a local TV show in Columbia, Missouri and she sang Sting's "Fields of Gold". It moved me close to tears...and it was done with such authenticity, heart, and soul. I don't believe that I've ever seen anything that touched me so. It was incredible.  And of this I am sure of: when it comes to expressing the depths of the human soul in music, very few singer/songwriters reached the depth of compassion as Hilary does. And that can't be learnt or taught. It's a gift. Her music overwhelms and captures your heart and soul."  Donald from MySpace

"I did check out your website and listen to some of your songs.  Very good indeed.  I then began to read the lyrics to your songs and I was even more impressed!  I very much enjoy listening to music that has meaning to it.  If you wrote the songs yourself you are a talented artist."

Roy from CD Baby page

"We just got home from a stellar gig in Streetside Records' parking lot on Saturday (Sept. 24th) afternoon.  Hilary and the band seemed totally on top of their game, and we enjoyed this concert as we have few others.  They played for 2 solid hours....and it was all free.  If you live in mid-Missouri and missed this gig, then you made a truly unfortunate decision.  As for the select group that was there....it was a show nobody will soon forget!  Go Hilary!"    A quote from two Hilary Scott Fan Club Members

"We went to the club to see the other bands but were blown away by you guys!!  I'm still listening to the CD I bought every day.   We were at the back bar so we did get to meet Hilary...Its great to meet someone so talented & humble & kind. I   I will definitely be there the next time you guys are in town & will get all my friends there as well".  Kansas City Fan

"Hilary Scott has a poetic sensibility that transcends ages, young and old.  What a refreshing listening experience, thoughtful lyrics and compelling music."  Theron

"Hilary Scott's song, 'People On A Train' is a great song.  Its dramatic, first of all.  Second, there is still a dark undertone that most of Hilary's music has.  To me, it seems this song is Hilary Saying, 'Will people ever get it together?', and directions people are taking without realizing it.  And lastly, its a beautiful song".     Jason

"She rocks!  What a voice, and she has incredible stage presence!"  Dedeann

"If you love the radio-friendly version of 'People on a Train', the 7-8 minutes version off her album,

Come In, Come In:  Live!" is even better.  Check it."   Hilary Scott Fans Prez

"She has a wonderful voice, very clear and you can hear the emotion."   A Fan

"Hilary rocks!"  Heather

"Hilary Scott's 'People On A Train' just sent chills down my spine!  It builds so well, has such strength and honesty in her voice."   Mike R

"No contest on this one, Hilary Scott is in a completely different league.  You Go Girl! "    Ryan T

"Hilary Scott:  WOW, what a voice!"   Jason T

"Hilary Scott is simply in the top 1% of the industry.  This song ('People on a Train') showcases the depth of her voice, the passion of her music."    Tim F

"'People On A Train' sounds kinda Led-Zepplin-ish, but in a hip new way.  Hilary Scott is quite a find..."      Misty

"I have been to several of Hilary Scott's concerts and they are Awesome.  Her voice is easy to listen to and the energy she and her band give out is incredible."    Linda

"...I had the great pleasure of finally seeing the lovely Hilary Scott and her band in performance at The Elbo Room in Chicago...(it was) an awesome show to see and hear.  Grab some of their CDs, tell your local radio stations to play their music, tell your friends about them, buy their CDs to give as presents, and promote the hell outta this band! "       Ray from Texas

"Last Friday I saw the Kansas City debut of a great new band that I think we'll be hearing a lot about for years to come...its the Hilary Scott band out of Columbia, MO.  The music is simply great.  Very fresh, tight and exciting...they're not trying to sound like anyone else.  They certainly rock, but very articulately.  Lots of blues and jazz influences, but they truly jam, too...when performing she (Hilary) demands your attention.  You simply can't take your eyes off her.  Great voice (and easy on the eyes) and a nice guitar/violin player.  Check them out online and go see them live if they every come to your area. "    BOB from Kansas City

"Saw you today at Art in the Park- pretty amazing! I bought your new CD and  will soon (hopefully) latch on

to your others. Listened to it twice all the way home to St Louis.       A St. Louis fan

"Hello!  I saw Hilary Scott for the first time on Friday night in Kansas City.  I was instantly hooked on her amazing voice & beautiful songs.  In addition, I was fortunate enough to meet her and Michael after the set.  They are incredibly warm and friendly.  I feel so lucky to have just happened upon this band.  I haven't stopped listening to the live CD I bought since.  I'm telling everyone I know about her and can't wait until she comes back to Kansas again!!"  A Kansas City Fan

"I have Hilary's CD on right now....My goodness what a powerful voice she has!  Her songs are SO GREAT!  I sometimes

think Brave New World is my favorite, but I also LOVE People On a Train."     A California fan

"Extraordinary vocals, piano, guitar, singer/songwriter Hilary Scott."   Debbie D'Agostino, D'Agostino's calendar

"I've really enjoyed listening to The Floating World. Of course, I have my favorites, "Like You Knew Me," "Memories Won't Keep," "When It's Done," and my very special favorite, "That Kind of Woman," with its wonderful instrumental...has such a Celtic flavor. I loved reading [Hilary's] lyrics, and think [she is] a poet extraordinaire! In the numbers I've mentioned, [Hilary's] voice has the purity and sweetness of the young Judy Collins and Joan Baez. Lovely!"           NC Woodland, Nevada City, CA

"A bunch of us went to D'Agostino's last Saturday night to specifically watch Hilary's show (though we ate dinner there to get in to see it).... it was only Hilary and her percussionist, Michael. Mark and I had never caught one of her acoustic shows before, unlike our friends who had and were back for more. We both very much enjoyed see Hilary 'unplugged'...in her acoustic set the arrangements [are] different and Hilary and Michael [are] tight. She's a real professional-her voice is amazing even when she's recovering from residuals of strep...We were also fortunate to be able to recruit Hilary and her band for the Green Party benefit Concert on June 17th. We knew it would be quite the coup if we could get her to sign on, and we were right, of course...her appearance brought in many of her fans as we had hoped. I talked to one woman who had seen her at the Cherry Street Artisan and fell in love with her voice as I did, and a man who had been following her for longer than both of us combined-a couple of years, he said. I also chatted with a couple who came to check her out for the first time and they liked her so much they ended up buying one of her CDs on the way out. The Hilary Scott Band opened with the force of 'Gravity,' which is usually her closer, played for [over an hour] and closed with the haunting "People on a Train.'"                        Melissa, Yahoo Fan Club Website

"I'm from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria and I work in radio...To me you are the best songwriter and singer in your style!  I hope you come to Stara Zagora [and] I hope my job in music will get more people to listen to your music!             Marti Penev, Bulgaria

"As said, she's independent...as they come!  She's like a mix of Ani DiFranco, (I hear she does a killer rendition

of 'Both Hands')Sarah MacLachlan, India Arie, Billie Holiday...but break it down and she's just Hilary.  She's amazing,

the kind of artist that can take a crowded bar into the palm of her hand.  Clicking beer glasses and loud,

boisterous jackasses, they'll listen to her if she plays..."        Rebekah from Portland, OR

"freaking AWESOME show!  You guys need to book BOTH of those guys again...and SOON.  I hadn't even heard of Hilary Scott until this week.  She and her band just tore it up...and seemed to be a great act to warm up the crowd for Jonatha.  Everyone just loved this gal...Thanks to last night's show...I've found a great new LOCAL artist."    Blue Note Bulletin Board, Member #255

"Hilary and her band were very tight and had a really good sound, keep her coming back!"      Blue Note Bulletin Board, Member #2

"Hey!  That show rocked, and I was completely blown away by Brooke's opening band.  Hilary Scott is amazing, and I hope to see more of her and her band in the future.  I would really like to know where they are playing next and where I might be able to find her CD."     Blue Note Bulletin Board, Member #267
